The MR49: Lode of Luthadel game at  17th Shard  finally finished up. The Straff Elims won. Though surprisingly Gears, who was our Villager Mistborn Vin, survived until the last cycle. So even though there were over 50% Elims (8V-5E-5E), Village still had a chance. I think the biggest problem is that we let Illwei survive so long. MR49 C3 MR49 C4 MR49 C5

Now it's D3 for the LG75 Alethi game at  17th Shard . For the NK, I had randomly chosen Archer. And it was interesting that later towards the end of the night, he posted about how he was prime NK candidate and also revealed that he was a Highprince. I considered switching the NK last minute, but then thought it would be best to leave it as the random choice already done. And now I think it worked out well. There's been a lot of suspicion and finger-pointing at the start of this day. None has been on me or my partners yet. However, I did post about how Books looked suspicious for their vote on me. I need to start with this in case a wagon ever builds on them. I need to be seen starting the bus. I don't think the wagon will build up yet since there are others people find more suspicious. I think only TJ had suspicions of Books. And if for some reason I ever get executed, this will help Books look better long-term. Books just replied back to me a bit ago, and I replied again. ...

It's D2 for the LG75 Alethi game at  17th Shard . For the NK, I had randomly chosen TUO. That worked out to be rather interesting because it was a NK that gave very little info. The players were surprised by the kill. Haha. 😃 There's been some back and forth. I think Dannex is likely the next execution. A wagon was started on me by Archer (I think), then Dannex hopped on it. My Elim partner Books was asking if it would be alright for him to bus me. I said that's fine, but warned him it might look opportunistic and to be careful how he did it. Also, I told him I wouldn't stop fighting. I also warned my partners in general that I will take the opportunity to bus them if they slip up and it looks like something I should jump on. Books would be an especially valuable pelt since he's our main PR. I'm actually not sure I trust that Books will do the bus properly and follow through to a win. It's D1 for the LG75 Alethi game at  17th Shard . I finally rolled as Elim on the site. I was wondering when that would eventually happen. So far I only know about 2 others on my team. We expect there should be another to make it 4 total out of 16 players, which is exactly 25% and the normal ratio. So we'll see how this game goes. At least it's not usually required to talk a whole lot, so I should be okay. Just need to help with the solving and maybe sow some bad theories. 😃

It's C5 for the MR49 Luthadel game at  17th Shard . I was NK'd, so now I'm out of the game. Haha, good timing I suppose since I'm just starting the LG75 game. I found out from the dead doc that Illwei is actually a Straff Elim. Supposedly she thought I was on her team and voted me to test that out. If I was on her team, I couldn't have been killed by her. But if not, then I would die, which I did. 😃 Anyway, I guess the other 2 players I protected were also Straff Elim. And apparently there were 5 on each Elim team, which is way too much. There would only be 8 Villagers to start then. Everyone had been assuming only 3 per Elim team. And 4 might have been a possibility. But 5 is just ridiculous. I was originally thinking the Elims were at a disadvantage due to no chat, but with numbers like that, I think they have an advantage.

It's C4 for the MR49 Luthadel game at  17th Shard . The conversation has really died down since Quinn was killed at the end of last cycle. I've pushed for executing Tani due to how she was trying to save Matrim even though he was an outed wolf. She insisted we should leave him to be killed by the Straff Elim team. We'd all already discussed this and gave reasons why it wasn't a good idea to leave a wolf alive to do harm. But she kept pressing, and it does look like a desperate attempt to keep Matrim alive even though she says she feels that way about any outed Mistborn Elim. There was more I could do to show why she's likely Elim, but I won't press any further. Others have agreed to vote on her, and she seems to have mostly given up. No one is really saying much more. I'm not one to make idle chit chat, so I'm not saying anything further either. I'll check if anything changes tonight, but I'm pretty sure we are just waiting for the cycle to end a...

It's C3 (Cycle 3) for the MR49 Luthadel game at 17th Shard . This game has combined day and night phases called cycles. Since there's no separate night phase, you have to prepare your action ahead of time before the cycle ends. I replaced into the game almost right away C1. My alignment is Villager and my role is Lurcher, which gives me the ability to protect someone. I can't self-protect and I can't protect the same player 2 cycles in a row. Also, this is multiball and there are 2 separate Elim factions, Straff and Cett. Additionally, the Elims don't know all their teammates and they don't have any shared chat. Quite a disadvantage for them. Glad I'm not Elim this game. 😃 Actually I don't think I've rolled Elim yet at 17th Shard . This game has a slower pace as usual compared to games at FoL . Well, town won in the  Thing Game - Joy Flavor  game on  Forum of Lies ! Yay us! 😃 It was a tense F3 LYLO. I had to solve between ATNo and EVO. I had started with thinking ATNo was more towny than EVO, but I knew a convert was possible and ATNo would be the more likely target. When I saw that ATNo was pushing the suicide convert to peg me as the wolf, I was suspicious. I used much of the day to question ATNo and noticed that he was pretty set on pushing the suicide convert theory only. It looked like wolf agenda. He didn't seem to even consider other possibilities even though he talked about having thought through things overnight. He kept saying that EVO was never starting wolf based on the one vote where he sheeped ATNo on voting PKR. But I was pointing out that the vote wasn't necessarily towny and could be seen as wolfy. Oh man, I survived to D7 in the  Thing Game - Joy Flavor  game on  Forum of Lies . It's now F3 (Final 3). LYLO (Lynch or Lose). I was kind of hoping I would be killed overnight so I wouldn't have to decide this. Haha. 😃 But I will take this as an opportunity for a challenge. Windward was the NK. I think that makes sense. I had expected it to be either me or Windward. If EVO was wolf, I would have expected he'd kill me. Which is sort of why I'm kind of suspecting ATNo might be the wolf here. Even though I still don't find much towny about EVO. But I wouldn't think he'd leave me alive. And looking back at ATNo, his actions could be seen as wolfy. I mean, the vote to tie the wagons for Appel and CRich looked so wolfy. It was only have he gave an explanation that seemed plausible that we started reevaluating him. I sent the link for my Forum Battle Royale design to Geyde this morning. He got back to me later and took a quick look at it. From his first glance, he was thinking it was a war game and that there would be a lot of politicking involved. I clarified that there are no units and such. Each player just controls a single character and tries to survive against all the other players. There are temporary truces allowed, so some politicking possible. But eventually it comes down to only one player surviving. I updated my design doc to clarify this. I still need to put a section in there explaining the range of weapons. I may need to discuss items as well. EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that Geyde said he has an IRL friend who would know more about this type of game. He's going to pass along the doc link to them to look over.

D6 ended in the  Thing Game - Joy Flavor  game on  Forum of Lies . Unfortunately we didn't get the last wolf. We cuddled Gorta, but he ended up being town. I was thinking his motivation to fight seemed too high. I was saying that it looked rather hopeless for him if he was the wolf. The wolves would have thought things were going rather well, and then suddenly lost two members two days in a row. But I really wasn't sure who else it would be. EVO seemed like a possible option, but ATNo seemed pretty certain EVO was town. And the part where EVO followed ATNo on voting for PKR right away D5 seemed to show that. If EVO were a wolf, he probably would have waited to see how Windward, Uni, and I would react to that vote. Anyway, it's down to ATNo, EVO, Windward, and me. Originally I was just going to talk about this in a Bullet Journal post, but it's gotten to be a lot and probably deserves it's own post. Anyway, I spent much of today designing my game idea for Forum Battle Royale. I already submitted the game into the Misc queue a  Forum of Lies . Here's the description I gave it. Battle royale on a hex-tiled map with simultaneous turns. Players submit actions for attacks and moves, then turns are processed at the same time. All players on the same hex join a private thread together to taunt each other or make deals. But in the end, there can be only one! I did want the first game to happen at FoL for historical purposes in case this becomes popular. Haha, maybe I'm thinking too far ahead. 😃 But it might be a long wait in the Misc queue. I'm tempted to start a game at POG 2+2  since then it could start sooner. I do want to try it out in a basic form. I may add a page on this blog for the game rules and other stuff like maps. Oh, ...

It's now D5 in the  Thing Game - Joy Flavor  game on  Forum of Lies . We successfully cuddled Appel D4 and she did flip as Mafia. Then earlier today it seemed like ATNo was next. However, he made an accusation against PKR and we questioned him a bunch on what happened with his vote. His story has been plausible, so we've come around to thinking he might be town. And looking closer at PKR, he does seem like a probable wolf. So now it's come around to where PKR will probably be cuddled at EoD. I feel fairly good about this, though not 100% certain. Haha, of course, I hardly ever am. 😃 I'm actually more concerned about finding the 3rd wolf. Though maybe I'll be the one killed tonight. Not sure. It probably should be Windward, but there's potential for either me or Uni. Or I suppose even ATNo. The problem is that anyone could be the target to make it look like a suicide convert occurred, thus putting everyone in the PoE again. I've already had lingering doubts ...

It's now D4 in the  Thing Game - Joy Flavor  game on  Forum of Lies . ATNo pretty much showed himself as a wolf by voting for CRich at the very end of D3 to tie the wagon with Appel. Then CRich was executed randomly and flipped as town. Then early in D4, Appel decided to go with scum leaning ATNo just like everyone else did. I saw this as clearly a mistake in perspective. If she were town, then she could only assume ATNo was town and just made a stupid mistake. Because if ATNo were a wolf, he would have never made that vote just to save Appel. He would have seen the wagons as V/V and wouldn't have cared which died. I asked Appel to clarify her read on ATNo and she did indeed pretend to see him as scum like everyone else. Okay, so I replaced into the Thing Game - Joy Flavor on Forum of Lies . It's an anon game that's mostly mountainous but has flipless night kills and the possibility of the wolves jumping into another town slot for that night kill. I was really hesitant to join, mostly because it is anon. I also wasn't all that interested in the flavor. And all that's just before the game started. I did sign up as backup when Marshal asked whether I was interested in the game. I guess there were a couple incidents with players breaking the rules and getting modkilled D1. It also looked like there wasn't much activity overall. So with these additional difficulties, I really wasn't sure I'd like replacing into the game.
